monitoring and assessment of water health quality in the haraz river, iran using macroinvertebrates indices
Authors
abstract
some macroinvertebrate indices of stream health have been identified as most useful and efficacious. management decisions can be made with greater awareness.the objectives of this study were to assess the biological water of the hazar river using macroinvertebrates.the haraz river is one of the best freshwater ecosystems in the mazandaran province located in the north of iran.to assess the macroinvertebrates diversity in the study area, simpson index was used, this parameter is 0.25 of the areathese include theept index the hbi is a index of stream organic. we identified 2 class, 3order , 16 families of macroinvertebrates. some sites of the case study were indicated to have a very bad condition.especially, the downstream sites are affected by indiscriminating mining for construction-grade sand from alluvial reaches is among the most disastrous one.diversity within the benthic macroinvertebrate community was described using the simpson’s diversity index.the biotic index was based on their tolerance to organic pollution , creating the family biotic index (fbi).in this survey, biotic index of haraz river was 5.72 which places in the rank of fairly substantial pollution likely this survey.

Monitoring and assessment of water health quality in the Tajan River, Iran using physicochemical, fish and macroinvertebrates indices
BACKGROUND Nowadays, aquatic organisms are used as bio-indicators to assess ecological water quality in western regions, but have hardly been used in an Iranian context. We, therefore, evaluated the suitability of several indices to assess the water quality for an Iranian case study. METHODS Measured data on biotic (fish and macroinvertebrates) and abiotic elements (28 physicochemical and hab...
full textRiver health assessment using macroinvertebrates and water quality parameters: A case of the Shanbeh-Bazar River, Anzali Wetland, Iran
The study of benthic macroinvertebrate communities is one of the most common methods for assessing the effects of stresses on the biological conditions of aquatic ecosystems and water quality monitoring. This research was conducted to study the changes in the macroinvertebrate communities in the Shanbeh-Bazar River, Anzali International wetland and the effects of environmental factors. Sampling...

15 صفحه اولassessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea
data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Groundwater quality assessment using the water quality pollution indices in Toyserkan Plain
Background: Iran is located within the dry and semi dry regions, thus almost 90% of the required water is secured via the use of groundwater. Owing to the increasing pollution of water resources, this study was performed to evaluate water quality pollution indices for heavy metals (As, Zn, Pb and Cu) contamination monitoring in Toyserkan Plain during spring and summer in 2012. Methods: A tot...
